چکیده
Accurate mapping the damaged vascular network is key to subsquent effective therapeutic strategy implementation in ischemic stroke. In this study, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) based on a platelet membrane biomimetic nanocarrier, loaded with L-arginine and γ-Fe2O3 nanoparticles (PAMNs), has been developed for delineating injury acute Due loading of nanoparticles, multi-parameter MRI including T2*-weighted (T2* WI) diffusion-weighted (DWI) have used localize stroke lesion evaluate severity vasuclar network, respectively. Results demonstrated that PAMNs can specifically target different types blood vasculature. Based accumulation lesion, T2* delineated espcially penumbra. Furthermore, release DWI was applied pre-protection effect. This showed great potential accurate positioning real-time monitoring lesions. Therefore, PAMNs-based technique feasible obstruction/thrombus location, assessment, development lesions early stage

Therapeutic approaches to vascular protection in ischemic stroke.
Reperfusion with recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) sometimes causes catastrophic hemorrhagic transformation (HT) in the ischemic brain. Consequently, the application of tPA has been strictly limited. Recent studies have indicated that matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), especially MMP-9, play a critical role in blood brain barrier (BBB) disruption in the ischemic brain, leading to br...
متن کاملCerebral Vascular Disease and Neurovascular Injury in Ischemic Stroke.
The consequences of cerebrovascular disease are among the leading health issues worldwide. Large and small cerebral vessel disease can trigger stroke and contribute to the vascular component of other forms of neurological dysfunction and degeneration. Both forms of vascular disease are driven by diverse risk factors, with hypertension as the leading contributor. Despite the importance of neurov...
متن کاملTargets for vascular protection after acute ischemic stroke.
BACKGROUND Vascular damage caused by cerebral ischemia leads to edema, hemorrhage formation, and worsened outcomes in ischemic stroke patients. Therapeutic interventions need to be developed to provide vascular protection. The purpose of this review is to identify the pathophysiologic processes involved in vascular damage after ischemia, which may lead to strategies to provide vascular protecti...
متن کاملPre-ischemic exercise mitigates brain injury via MEK1/2 and PI3K after ischemic stroke in rats
Physical exercise could exert neuroprotection in both human and animals. However, the exact mechanism of the neuroprotective effect is still not very clear. This study was to explore the possible signal pathway related to the neuroprotective effect of pre-ischemic exercise for ischemic stroke. Thirty-six rats were randomly divided into three groups (n = 12/group): middle cerebral artery occlusi...
متن کاملDifferent Stages of Platelet Adhesion to the Site of Vascular Injury
Platelet activation and adhesion to the site of vascular injury is a dynamic process comprising reversible and irreversible phases. Platelet adhesion typically occurs in a multi-step process similar to the selectin/integrin-mediated adhesion of neutrophils. This phenomenon is highly regulated and influenced by the cross-talk between platelets and injured endothelium. This cross-talk involves a ...
